The answer is Sedus. Formerly named Sedus Stoll AG, Sedus is one of Europe’s leading designers and manufacturers of contract furniture, with a history dating back to 1871.

Sedus has used robust materials to manufacture the Se:Mood. These include 100% recycled glass-fibre reinforced polypropylene for the frame. When it comes to the seat shell, this is available in two materials, either polypropylene (to complement the frame), or PET felt. The latter is made from 100% recycled polyester fibres that create a fleece-like finish.
That the Se:Mood is manufactured from durable, long-lasting materials is evidenced by the chair’s 5-year warranty.
Furthermore, the Se:Mood uses locally-sourced materials where possible. For example, Sedus aims to purchase most of the materials used in its products from Germany, helping to avoid long delivery routes, boosting the local economy and reducing carbon emissions.
The Se:Mood is also able to support weights of up to 130 kg (approximately 20.5 stone), or – on an occasional basis – weights of 150 kg (approximately 23.5 stone).
Longevity is also added to the Se:Mood by the fact that Sedus will be making spare parts for the chair available for at least 10-years, meaning even in the future you’ll be able to obtain spares if necessary.
